Environmental Engineering (BE)

Environmentally sound engineered systems are of increasing interest in our society.

This degree will equip graduates with the discipline knowledge and problem-solving skills to design water, energy, shelter and primary production systems underpinned by ecological knowledge. Graduates can be employed by engineering firms, land developers, utilities, international development and government agencies to design and manage engineered systems. Graduates will have a global perspective and ethical approach to sustainable development.

Qualification:	Bachelor of Engineering (BE) in Environmental Engineering
Duration:	4 years full-time or part-time equivalent
Availability:	Murdoch campus (internal) Some units may also be available in the following locations and attendance modes: Murdoch campus (external)
Employment Prospects:	Graduates will be in high demand in energy and water utilities, and in companies and consulting agencies servicing this sector. Moreover, government departments are significant employers of graduates.
Special Requirements:	Some students will undertake at least 500 hours of approved work experience, plus complete a report outlining the experience gained, in order to complete the requirements of the degree. This work experience must be in a suitable engineering-related area and be approved by the Engineering Academic Chair.
